The Natural World
All Photos by Dylan Crills
In a world full of harsh wetlands, intense rainforests, open grasslands, and mountainous woods. Over 8.7 million animal and bird species call these places home.
My goal is to show the perfect handiwork of God through the natural world.

“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.”
Meet the Person behind the Camera
Photography is my passion! I am a wildlife and nature photographer based out of South Central Pennsylvania. I grew up on a 13-acre property (what a blessing this was) with a large abandoned stone quarry.
I was surrounded by nature all my life, yet never really felt a connection to it. One day, I decided to take my mom’s brand new phone out for a little spin to photograph flowers, and anything that appeased me. I began to obsess over the small details of such a large world, and knew it was time for my first camera. I bought an old Canon point-and-shoot camera from my uncle, and the journey began. I started taking photo after photo ( good and bad) of absolutely anything I thought was interesting, It took a single bird species ( the Indigo Bunting) to truly spark my interest in birds. Finally, after a few years of practice, I decided to purchase my dream camera, the Sony A7IV.
Now, I had one problem! I never explored anywhere else. except my own property, which didn’t give me many new photo opportunities. It also limited my interactions with more experienced photographers.
In 2024-2025 I would set out for new horizons, traveling through different parts of New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and my home state of Pennsylvania. It helped me to hone my skills, broaden my portfolio, and forage new relationships. I’ve met so many wonderful and experienced people, who have taught me so much about photography. My first “REAL” year of birding, I was able to see a total of 85 lifers. All of these experiences have opened new doors for me, allowing me to explore the unknown places of our world, and truly discover wildlife photography. I hope the next time you go outside, you will take some time in the natural world. Hopefully, like myself, you’ll become hooked on nature.
My name is Dylan…..

“If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. ”
